Mission Statement
The United Nations Association of the United States of America is a non-profit, non-partisan organization that supports the work of the United Nations and encourages active civic participation in the most important human rights issues facing the world today.¾ The purpose of the Association is:
To heighten public awareness and increase public knowledge of global issues
To encourage global cooperation and multilateral approaches in dealing with these issues
To build public support for constructive policies on matters of global concern
To enhance the effectiveness of the United Nations and international institutions by encouraging strong U.S. leadership in the U.N.
Goals
To educate the Spokane community through public meetings and speaking engagements
To engage in advocacy for the cause of global cooperation
